Hey Scottie, they finally found you more power.

A decade old but still kicking hard, Sandia's Z machine is pushing about 300 trillion watts of X-Ray power for billionths of a second. To put it mildly that's a bunch - about 80times the combined world output. Also in another experiment they achieved 1.6M degrees C, again, just a wee bit hot to the touch - hotter than most star interiors.

I suppose to most, it's just a bunch of neat experiments going on in a place our tax dollar fund quite nicely, but if you are good at applying energy transfer equations and envision future uses of this technology, well figure it out yourself, I'm retired.
