Blaspheme
What's the big deal about the Pope? I don't get it. He's just a man - nothing more, yet so many treat him as a super-theological power ranger. Could someone who thinks his existence and passing is a much bigger deal than myself please clue me in?

It's all about regime change. Our current president and much of congress, among other powerful leaders throughout the world, is quite religious. Directly or indirectly they take orders from the Pope. Putting a new one in office (and let's not kid ourselves - it's a political position) has the potential for changing the world. This has been the case for the last 1000+ years.
